Mouse Phenotyping Specialists Join Forces in Copenhagen: New Workshop Aims to Unite Field

Posted on 25.11.2025

Through a generous grant from Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA), the Institute of Metabolic Science from the University of Cambridge, and the NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research from the University of Copenhagen have organized a two-day workshop in February 2026.

The workshop aims to bring together phenotyping specialists from core facilities working within the fields of metabolism. The program features presentations, panel discussions, networking opportunities and working groups to find solutions to the challenges faced by phenotyping units, and explore opportunities for collaboration.

Target Audience

  • Core facilities
  • Platforms
  • University infrastructure working with metabolic phenotyping of animals.

The program is trying to bring together European facilities working within this field, and invite people to participate regardless of career stage.

Practical Information

Find more information and sign up at MAPS-Europe.

The event is open and free to attend.
Facilities can submit abstracts to present posters or give short talks.
Selected speakers, with priority given to early-career researchers, can get travel- and accommodation covered, hopefully allowing more junior staff members to attend.

Deadline

Abstracts can be submitted until 16 December.
