The below organogram displays the organisation and management of the Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA).
The Board of Directors is responsible for DDEA’s overall strategy and key activities. Its top-down decisions will be informed with strategic input from the DDEA governing bodies in a comprehensive bottom-up process.
The Managing Director and the Secretariat provide administrative support to the Board of Directors and the committees.
Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) is headed by a Board of Directors (BoD) of seven members with a well-balanced and broad representation of stakeholders with regard to gender, age, national geography, and sector.
The DDEA Committee for Education establishes the annual programme for the DDEA education and talent development activities and the DDEA networking and collaboration activities, and is responsible for planning the activities included in the annual programme.
The aim of the Advisory Board is to provide expert feedback and strategic recommendations to the DDEA Board of Directors on the DDEA strategy and its four key activity classes: 1) Education and talent development, 2) networking and collaboration, 3) grants, and 4) Communications and outreach.
The Grant Review Committee is an international peer review panel.
The Secretariat runs the day-to-day management of Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy.
