Where could today’s discoveries take us tomorrow?

On 3 December 2026, the Danish Advanced Research Academy (DARA) invites PhD students and the wider public to Lab to Life, an evening exploring how fundamental research could shape our future.

The event gives PhD students an opportunity to present their research to a broader audience and share their perspectives on where their discoveries could lead – five, ten or even twenty years from now.

Held at Carlsberg in Copenhagen, the evening will bring together researchers and guests from different backgrounds to explore the journey from scientific discoveries to real-world impact.

The programme includes:

• A talk by Professor Lone Gram
• A poster showcase featuring PhD students’ research
• Opportunities to meet the researchers
• People’s Choice and other awards
• A reception and networking

Interested in presenting your research?

DARA welcomes PhD students from across research disciplines at Danish institutions to submit a poster and showcase their work.
