Join the Mentoring for Postdocs Programme at Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy as a mentor, and support a DDEA grant recipient in their professional career development through one-to-one guidance sessions.
Mentors and mentees are matched and guided through the year-long mentoring programme with support from experts, Lisa Ott and Karin Hoeck from Perspectiv and HowCome, respectively.
The matching process will take place in June 2025 and is followed by an in person kick-off meeting in Nyborg on 19 August 2025 (attendance required), where you will have your first mentor/mentee meeting.
Throughout the year, you will have approx. 3-6 meetings with your mentee and the opportunity to check-in with Karin Hoeck and the other mentors along the way.
The programme ends in May 2026.
Becoming a mentor is an opportunity to help the professional development of early career researchers while also growing personally and professionally.
Mentorship is a two-way process that fosters self-reflection, allowing you to refine your leadership skills and gain new perspectives.
Your mentorship can make a significant difference with the journey of early-career scientists toward their own success. The experience of sharing your knowledge and seeing others grow can be deeply rewarding.
Throughout the programme, you will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges the early career researchers face in today’s scientific landscape, expand your professional network by connecting with talented individuals, and strengthen your skills to listen actively and ask insightful questions.
The Mentoring for Postdocs Programme at DDEA is designed for our Alumni and DDEA postdoctoral grant recipients in their second year.
