The European Islet Study Group annual meeting in Malmö June 11-13 2025

The European Islet Study Group (EISG) is an annual conference dedicated to islet biology in diabetes research. Since 1991, EISG has brought together leading European and international islet researchers to foster collaboration and innovation in the field.

The objective of EISG is to facilitate the exchange and development of ideas that might push forward groundbreaking research related to:

  • Diabetes diagnosis
  • Pathology
  • Treatment
  • The role of islet cells in the disease

This year’s program will also feature a debate on: “Are alpha cells and glucagon needed for islet function and glucose homoeostasis?”

Target Audience

European and international islet researchers in the field of diabetes.
