The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow (UK) invites all PhD students, early career researchers, newly-independent group leaders, research technical professionals and imaging facility managers to the The Strathclyde Optical Microscopy Course 2025. The course is for everyone who wish to have a strong grounding in the optical physics and photochemistry for using microscopy to the highest level in their research. Imaging spans all biological research and this course is for any researcher from any discipline.

The Strathclyde Optical Microscopy Course is an intensive hands-on practical course covering from the fundamental principles of optics and photochemistry to advanced systems, smart microscopy, and image analysis. The course has many sponsoring vendors bringing instrumentation to the course for students to gain hands-on learning experience. It is a unique course in the UK and aims to train the next generation of leading imaging scientists. The registration fee for this advanced 10 day course is purposefully low, with the support of company sponsorship, to ensure equity for all student applications regardless of financial situation.
