The Art of Networking

Studies of networking unambiguously show that having a large and active network is one of the most direct paths to success. Individuals who network generally have steeper career curves, more exciting assignments, higher salaries, and yes, even better life quality than those who don’t. Ironically, other research studies show that many people tend to avoid networking because they find it trivial, intrusive, and awkward. Something needs to be done about this!

In this workshop, Heidi Jønch-Clausen will share some concrete rhetorical tools to make the art of networking easier. She will lead you through disciplines such as the simple and memorable self-presentation, the open and inviting body language, and the important, energizing small talk.

Heidi will also touch upon strategies for networking and LinkedIn.
