The Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) is happy to welcome our Education and Networking Manager, Gretchen Repasky
In the role of Education and Networking Manager, Gretchen Repasky’s main responsibility will be to implement the strategy of DDEA through high-quality educational, talent development, networking and collaboration-building activities. She will manage the overall annual plan of these activities, which is devised and developed in collaboration with the DDEA Committee for Education and DDEA Secretariat.
“I believe firmly in scientific research as key to solving grand challenges in our society – improved healthcare, better prevention of disease, structures for equality in health and wellbeing, etc. Since my days as a PhD student, I have had a passion and strong drive to support scientific research through excellent research education and career development. I think DDEA and I are a perfect match”, says Gretchen Repasky.
During the past 13 years, Gretchen Repasky has held positions in international research institutes and networks that allowed her to implement new training programs and activities supporting the education and professional development of doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers as well as to build new collaborations at local, national and international levels. She holds a PhD degree in cell and molecular biology from New York University, and her postdoctoral work focused on cancer cell biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
