Are you a PhD student in diabetes, metabolism or classical endocrinology? Would you like to have a say in the training of PhD students? If yes, we want to hear from you! We are looking for two PhD students to help us create the programme for one of DDEA’s flagship events – the DDEA Summer School in August 2024.

As a member of the organising committee and of the target group for the event, you will be able to help us focus on what is most relevant, most needed, and most attractive for the programme. You will be able to expand your network by suggesting and inviting speakers, developing scientific sessions and workshops, and contributing ideas for social activities.

We will select the committee members during week 42.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of all DDEA Summer School organising committee members are:

1. Participating in the start up meeting and several follow-up meetings until the programme is ready
2. Creating and reviewing the programme
3. Contacting speakers
4. Confirming the text for listing the event on the DDEA website
5. Sharing the event information in your networks and your social media
6. Engaging fully in the event by chairing sessions, leading activities, assessing posters, networking with the students and speakers informally, etc.
7. Participating in a follow-up review and debriefing after the event
