I am happy to announce that the Danish Diabetes Academy (DDA) has received an invitation from the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) to submit an application for a potential continuation of the DDA for the period 2023-2027. The application deadline is 1 January 2022. The scope of a potential future DDA will encompass all fields of endocrinology. If the application is granted, the DDA will thus be transformed into the Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA). DDA will involve relevant stakeholders in the application process. The application will be based on the strategy document and the DDA self-evaluation report 2018-2021 submitted to NNF in June 2021. 

As always, I encourage you to stay updated about our upcoming events on our website. We have many interesting events whose registration deadline is ultimo October / primo November. Since the last newsletter, we have announced a symposium on RNA Mechanisms and Therapeutics in Metabolic Diseases, a symposium on Clinical Metabolic Physiology and the DDA Annual Day.
