The World Diabetes Day is celebrated tomorrow on 14 November 2019 acknowledging that an extraordinary effort must be made for the millions of people who suffer from or who will suffer from diabetes worldwide.

The DDA’s activities during a year only constitute a small part of the collective effort, but we believe that the work we carry out during the years, training young diabetes researchers and creating networks between them and other actors at the universities, university hospitals and life science industry, will eventually bear fruit.

During the past month we have organised events in Boston, Malaga and at the latest in Nyborg. Events with the purpose of getting together researchers from different research areas and research institutions worldwide and with an outcome, which may one day put in the final blow in the fight against diabetes.
