The initiative with a series of webinars on the interaction between diabetes and cancer has been a success, with a high number of attendees, fruitful discussions and participation by researchers around the world. This initiative was a result of a bottom-up process where the idea for the webinars came from a young committed researcher. A virtual symposium in June has emerged in the same way – here we will gain insight from three ADA award winning diabetes researchers working at Danish institutions.

Next month the DDA Education for Committee will start preparing the educational and networking programme for 2022. So, if you have an excellent idea for a PhD/postdoc course, symposium, webinar, workshop or networking event that you think could be of interest for early-career researchers and senior researchers, please let us know before 15 April 2021 by e-mail to ouh.dda@rsyd.dk.
