Happy New Year!
In 2022, the Danish Diabetes Academy has many things to look forward to.
2022 is a special year for the Danish Diabetes Academy. It marks not only our 10 year anniversary, it is also the last year of our second five-year funding period. The DDA has applied for a continuation and further development of the academy into a Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy 2023-2027. We are looking forward to June, where we hope for a positive reply from the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
The 2022 educational and networking programme is also exciting, offering our first joint event organised with the new Danish Data Science Academy "The Data Science Spring School & Challenge", and an international mini-symposium on Adipose Tissue & Fat Metabolism with renowned national experts and experts from the University of Edinburg, amongst other things. The registration deadline on many of our activities is nearing, so sign up soon.
2022 will also be the year that we venture into podcasting with our DDA-series “Postdocs Talking”. If you cannot wait to hear from our talented researchers, check out our Instagram when postdoc Line Hjort takes us to Tanzania on a research trip, starting today.
