I deeply hope and believe that the next couple of months will be a transformation back to a life where we can meet and engage with junior researchers and national and international friends of the DDA in real life. We all deserve that.

We have opened registration for several courses and symposia with physical presence and you will hopefully experience that this is only the top of the iceberg. We will present quite an impressive scientific programme in 2021 - if the COVID-19 allows us to move forward.

I welcome the new Danish Cardiovascular Academy (DCA) funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The DDA’s ambition is to collaborate with the DCA on relevant educational and networking activities in the future.

In this newsletter, I also kindly remind you of the deadline for grant applications in 2021, which is 9 February 2021.
