This newsletter is mostly devoted to our PhD courses and includes information about the DDA PhD Summer School, which has proud traditions, and a brand new course ”The PhD Autumn School on the Role of the Microbiome in Complex Metabolic & Inflammatory Diseases”. This course has become a reality thanks to a fruitful collaboration with Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel and University of Copenhagen.

We also wish to remind you of our two-day symposium on co-morbidities in diabetes with a short teaser video from one of the lecturers, Professor Jacob Grauslund (ophthalmologist), Odense University Hospital.

Finally, we are happy to announce that during the autumn of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 we will organise three workshops in collaboration with researchers from Aalborg, Aarhus and Copenhagen.
