Clinical Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023

This call is closed. This grant scheme was a thematic grant offered in 2023. Whether the theme for the postodoctoral fellowships with specific themes offered in June 2024 will also be clinical postdoctoral fellowships remains to be decided. Further information will follow in June 2024.

The Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) invites applications for five 20%-financed two-year postdoctoral fellowships of 240,000 DKK in total for two years in 2024-2025.

The postdoctoral positions are 20% part-time positions dedicating time to research combined with time for clinical work (salary during the clinical employment must be ensured by the institution where the candidate has her/his clinical employment).

With these postdoctoral fellowships, the DDEA wants to support clinical researchers who are in the beginning of their research careers and who wish to pursue a career in research and develop/consolidate their individual research profile and scientific network while continuing their clinical career at the same time.

Applications can be in any research field within diabetes, metabolism or endocrinology.

Deadline for application is 23 August 2023 at 23:59 CET with expected date of reply 12 December 2023.

The grant must be activated within six months after receiving the grant notification letter (or by further agreement with the DDEA).

Please note that postdoctoral fellows whose principal investigator currently hosts a DDEA-funded PhD student or postdoctoral fellow are not eligible for funding under this scheme. Principal supervisors/investigators may only host one DDEA-funded PhD student or postdoctoral fellow at a time (principal supervisors/investigators hosting a DDA-funded researcher with a grant from 2018-2022 are eligible to be involved in a DDEA application). Applicants are responsible for informing their principal supervisor of this rule.
