The One Health Conference 2027 is an international meeting built around a simple idea. Human, animal, and environmental health are closely connected, and the challenges we face need to be tackled together.

Over three days, the conference brings researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and industry into the same space to focus on the key issues shaping global health today. These include emerging diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and the impacts of environmental change. The programme combines keynote talks, workshops, and focused sessions that move from big picture questions to practical solutions.

It is designed to bring different disciplines together, encourage discussion, and create space for collaboration. At its core, the conference aims to strengthen participants’ ability to work across disciplines and contribute to turning strong science into meaningful action.

As part of the application, applicants can indicate whether they wish to be considered for an oral presentation. A selected number of participants will be invited to give an oral presentation, while the remaining accepted participants will present their work as posters.

Organisers:
This is a joint event organised by Danish Advanced Research Academy (DARA) and Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA).

The One Health Conference 2027 is primarily intended for PhD students working within research relevant to human, animal, and/or environmental health and related One Health topics.

To apply, participants must complete the application form available on the conference website (Sign up) and submit a scientific poster presenting their research or PhD project. Applicants must be active PhD students at a Danish institution at the time of the conference. PhD students hosted by institutions outside Denmark are also welcome to apply, subject to availability.

Applications will be reviewed based on the submitted material, and successful applicants will be offered a place at the conference.

Early-stage PhD students without research results are encouraged to apply. In these cases, the poster may present the PhD project, including its research objectives, study design, methodology, expected impact, and planned work.

Size of poster: Posters should be prepared in a format suitable for A1 landscape display or A2 portrait display

Dinner registration
The DDEA and DARA organizes a banquet dinner on 27 January, where the dress code is smart casual. Participation in the dinner is free of charge. Please sign up for the dinner upon registration, and indicate whether you have any dietary requirements.

Accommodation
The DDEA and DARA offers accommodation for accepted participants on the 26 and 27 January.

Please sign up for accommodation when you register for the event.
Accommodation is offered as a mix of single and double-occupied rooms across the hotels. During the application process, participants have the option to invite another applicant to share a room, where multi occupancy spaces are available.

You will be informed about your overnight accommodation by the DARA/DDEA after the registration deadline.
