A Cross Academy Career Event
Curious about a career in life science but unsure of your possibilities? Join the three academies (Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy, Danish Cardiovascular Academy and Neuroscience Academy Denmark) on Nov 21 2024 from 10.00 – 14.00, as we prepare you for the annual Synapse career fair. Through two parallel workshops, we will focus in on key skills for your career development, after which participants will gather to gain insight into a range of different career paths within life science with ample opportunity for questions. You will then have the opportunity to directly apply these learnings at the Synapse career fair in the afternoon.

B: Workshop on Job interviews in Denmark
Facilitated by WorkinDenmark, recruitment consultants Rem Sahid Mahamoud and Sofie Andersen Ejdesgaard. This workshop is primarily targeted to international students.
Join this workshop to learn how to effectively navigate your job search in Denmark. Get practical tips and strategies to locate job possibilities outside academia and get an insight into the unwritten rules of job seeking in Denmark. You might be wondering:
These questions, and more, will be addressed during the workshop. You will gain valuable insights into navigating jobseeking outside academia, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to Workindenmark’ s recruitment consultants.

These workshops are intended for early-career researchers, e.g., PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, working within any field covered by the academies – cardiovascular research, neuroscience, diabetes and endocrinology – Including clinical, basic and translational science and/or interdisciplinary research connected to related fields. Early-career researchers at research organisations within Denmark and from abroad are welcome to apply.
Workshop participants are selected on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that you are not guaranteed a seat if you do not meet the target group requirements. Priority is given to participants employed at Danish research and health institutions or life science industry, but some seats are reserved for participants employed at research and health institutions or life science industry outside of Denmark. If the event is overbooked, the academies reserve their right to select participants based on the defined requirements.
