This course, a collaborative effort between the Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy and the Danish Cardiovascular Academy, offers an exploration into the emerging field of regenerative medicine.
The course combines lectures from leading experts and interactive workshops to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Participants will engage in lectures/workshops, fostering a deeper understanding of how regenerative medicine can be applied to cardiovascular and endocrine health. Both academic and industry perspectives will be brought to light.
With a focus on the diabetes, endocrine and cardiovascular areas this course will give you the latest knowledge about stem cells in clinical use and how to use stem cells for disease modeling. With sessions on endogenous regeneration and the commercial outlook, you will get a deeper understanding of regenerative medicine and stem cells in different clinical and commercial settings.
Interactive sessions with case work will give you a chance to work on specific problems with fellow students and at the same time have an opportunity to broaden your network – both nationally and internationally.

This course is intended for PhD students, Postdocs and academics working within regenerative medicine in cardiovascular and endocrine diseases.
The participants are selected on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that you are not guaranteed a seat at the course if you do not meet the target group requirements. Priority is given to participants employed at Danish research and health institutions or in the life science industry, but a number of seats are reserved for participants employed at research and health institutions or in the life science industry abroad. If the event is overbooked, the Academies reserves its right to select participants based on the defined requirements.
Dinner registration
The Academies (DDEA and DCA) organise a networking dinner on 1 April. Participation in the dinner is free of charge. Please sign up for the dinner upon registration, and indicate whether you have any dietary requirements.
Accommodation
The Academies offer accommodation for participants from outside the Copenhagen area from 1 April (check in) to 2 April (check out).
Please sign up for accommodation when you register for the event.
You will be informed about your overnight accommodation by the DDEA after the registration deadline.
Certification
A course certificate will be sent to all participants upon request at the end of the course. Full participation is required to attain 1,2 ECTS points.
Latest cancellation date & no-show fee
Please note that it is free of charge to participate in the event however the DDEA will charge a no-show fee of 1000 DKK if you do not show up and have not unregistered from the event by 24 March 2025.
