Circadian Rhythm and Timing of Lifestyle Factors on Cardiometabolic Risk – the CIRCLE-DOME 2 meeting

Current strategies to prevent and treat cardiometabolic diseases include healthy diets and physical activity. An increasing body of evidence suggest that timing of food intake, exercise, and sleep is important for metabolic function and risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. The international CIRCLE-DOME 2 meeting will gather leading researchers and younger researchers in the field of circadian rhythm, lifestyle and cardiometabolic diseases. The aim is to share knowledge, facilitate networking and stimulate continuation and initiation of strong interdisciplinary collaborations in the field.

Place: Bella Sky Conference & Event, Center Boulevard 5, Copenhagen S, DK-2300, Denmark
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Established and younger researchers who work in the fields of circadian rhythm, lifestyle and cardiometabolic diseases are welcome. The meeting welcomes researchers from different disciplines including but not limited to basic and clinical research and epidemiology.
Due to a limited number of seats, registration will be on a first come, first served principle, and based on abstract submission. We encourage submission of abstracts. Participants with abstract submission are prioritized in case the meeting becomes overbooked. The best abstracts/posters will receive awards.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
In 2019, we gathered researchers within the field of circadian rhythm and metabolism for a an international two-day meeting and established the scientific network Circadian Clock Disruption and Timing of Eating in Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism (CIRCLE-DOME). The first meeting had a primary focus on circadian rhythm and timing of food intake. During recent years, the research in and importance of timing of other lifestyle components including exercise and sleep has grown significantly and is has become clear that there is a great potential in timing of lifestyle in the prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic diseases.
The CIRCLE-DOME 2 meeting will include presentations from leading researchers in the field and give younger researchers the opportunity to present their work and broaden their international network.
Networking and initiation of new collaborations are important aims of the meeting and we encourage participants to stay for the dinner on Thursday 12 January. Accommodation at the venue from 12-13 January is included (free but optional).
